If the ability has an additional or replacement effect that depends on the land having a certain basic land type, the ability will check that land's type as the ability resolves. The last ability you put on the stack will be the first one to resolve. You can put them on the stack in any order. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control. The nice thing about the archetype is how well it synergizes with strategies already there. I'm starting a modular cube and plan to have lands/landfall be one of my modules. I don't think I'd have to move a lot of cards to make this an archetype and I believe it will be more fun than +1 counters, but is it good in a meta with reanimator, wildfire and stax, among other things?
I'm already running lotus cobra, tireless tracker, wayward swordtooth and oracle of mul daya. There are also some blue cards with landfall, like ], which I like, but I'm not sure if spreading this out over 4 colors is healthy. I'm thinking naya landfall, even though the only worthwhile white landfall card is ].
